This custom dining table is 40" x 66", ideal for elegant rustic dining for six.  Yellow birch legs with root flares make the piece seem almost alive.  the top is a stunning book-matched curly spalted maple with a very light stain allowing its natural beauty to be fully appreciated.  Note the the live edge which again gives this table an earthy, organic feel.  Beyond it's good looks it's extremely sturdy and will delight the generations to come.

This is the only shot I have of this table taken at the Adirondack Museum Rustic Fair (Sept. 02).  I finished it just in time for the show and then sold it there!   While somewhat similar to the table above, it's larger (40" x 82") and will comfortably seat 8.  It also has a richly stained, wildly figured maple top.  The diamond inlays on the apron are beautiful cherry burl.  The legs are more massive to suit the scale of the piece.

Here's the first piece of rustic furniture I made, a 36" x 72" dining table.  It has a beautiful quarter-sawn white oak top with a soft honey-brown stain.  You see it here displayed In Darlene & Barry Gregson's Adirondack Rustics Gallery in Schroon Lake, NY.  If you're near Schroon Lake you simply must stop to see the incredible rustic gallery they have created.
