Here you see two examples of our large Adirondack Buffet. The one to the right is quite unique, with the focal point of the entire piece being a large fungus at the center of the sunburst backsplash. (I kept thinking I was nuts when I built it, but Gretchen found the fungus and insisted I use it). It has a curly cherry live edge top, meaning the edge shows the actual surface of the tree, just under the bark, and it exhibits the lumps and bumps of the tree itself. Don't you think this would make a stunning focal point for your dining room or great room?
The Buffet at left is built as a multiple of the case above. Similar in dimension and function only, as you can see. This buffet was custom built for a customer who liked our Adirondack Hutch but didn't really have the room for it, so this is what we came up with.
The top is also curly cherry but the edge treatment is hand carved. The diamond motif on the headboard is inlaid with cherry burl and a small fungus serves as the focal point.
