Birch Island Rustics builds heirloom quality rustic furniture in the Adirondack Style.  Birch Island on Paradox Lake is in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains of New York State.  We are fortunate enough to have a camp on Paradox Lake and we revel in the rustic beauty of the wind, the forest, and the waters that surround us.

Our philosophy centers around an intention to build "heirloom quality" rustic furniture that will endure for generations and provide lasting pleasure for its owners.  Our furniture is designed to be used in the everyday sense.  Utility and function are very important to our way of thinking.  Yes, a piece must be beautiful, but do the drawers and doors work properly and is the piece rugged enough to stand up to everyday usage?  We believe it's vital.  This is how we approach our work.

We harvest all our rustic materials from the Adirondack Forest ourselves and take care to adequately dry everything so you won't have to worry about warping or shrinkage in the years to come.  Please, take a few moments to explore our site.  If you see anything that resonates with you we'd love to hear from you!

So, whether you're thinking of decorating your home or camp in the Adirondack Rustic Style, or just adding to your collection, we'd like to build a unique piece of rustic furniture for you.  Whether it's your own concept or something we design for you, you can be assured of getting a rustic work of art that will endlessly remind you of the beauty and antiquity of the Adirondacks - Adirondack Style.
